Visit from Boo (therapy Dog)
Boo is a professionally trained therapy dog and showers us with hugs and cuddles. Boo visits with his Mum Lorraine and both are very welcomed friends.

About the event
Animal therapy improves mood - Studies have found that dogs in particular can support in decreasing the feelings of anxiety and sadness and have a calming effect and noticeably lower blood pressure levels. But don't be put off by 'therapy', Boo and Lorriane bring a visit full of heartwarming fun for us all to enjoy!
This activity takes place approximately 10:30am but as with all day care sessions, guests are invited from 9am and can stay up until 6pm and enjoy home prepared meals and our communal facilities.
Our Day Care option in the care home provides flexibility for people who want to make the most of our facilities and activities whilst visiting for the day. This is a popular choice for anyone living alone who wants to meet new people, establish friendships, and enjoy a nourishing meal.
Our Day Care visitors have full access to communal areas of the home, and by arrangement can also make use of our hydrotherapy air-spa system or walk in wet room. It is of course possible for our Personal Home Care team to help with transport to and from the Care Home if required. Day Care offers a perfect balance of social interaction while allowing individuals to return home to their familiar surroundings at the end of the day.
Day care fee is £55 and must be booked in advance (additional fees apply if the home care team are required to bring and collect)
