Sussex Grange Welcomes Day Guests

Day Guests
Our Day Care option in the care home provides flexibility for people who want to make the most of our facilities and activities whilst visiting for the day.
This is a popular choice for anyone living alone who wants to meet new people, establish friendships, and enjoy a nourishing meal.
Our Day Care visitors have full access to communal areas of the home, and by arrangement can also make use of our hydrotherapy air-spa system or walk in wet room.
It is of course possible for our Personal Home Care team to help with transport to and from the Care Home if required. Day Care offers a perfect balance of social interaction while allowing individuals to return home to their familiar surroundings at the end of the day
Day care sessions must be booked in advance an can be attended on a regular basis or as an adhoc visit. A 'knowing me' style assessment will need to be completed prior to attending so please allow us one weeks notice as a minimum before attending your first session.

Inside The Home
Much of the splendour, character and appearance of the original Tudor-style house has been retained with features including a panelled dining room and Victorian drawing room. Blended in with the older character of the building we have introduced modern features to enhance the comfort and security of the residents including an electronic fire alarm and fire safety equipment, all of which is checked and serviced regularly.
All bedrooms in our residential care home are of a good size, some rooms are located on the first floor, which can be accessed by a passenger lift or wide staircase; ground floor rooms boast their own patio area. Rooms are decorated to a fresh and comfortable design ready for moving in, but we welcome you to bring in items from home to personalise the space. Every bedroom in our care home has an en suite bathroom with washbasin, toilet and bath or shower.

The Garden
The garden is a particular feature of Sussex Grange residential home, which is situated in a plot of almost 2/3 of an acre. A level footpath leads around the perimeter of the garden weaving between flowerbeds and lawns.
There is a large, covered fishpond and there are a variety of trees and shrubs, which provide a high degree of privacy for the home.
Residents are encouraged to take part in outdoor activities or clubs in the garden such as birdwatching, planting pots and filling bird feeders.
The garden has a variety of communal seating areas and more secluded and quiet seating areas. Families enjoy visiting with our residents in the garden, relaxing in the surroundings, and enjoying
