Looking for your first job?

We’re recruiting Young Kitchen Assistants (ages 14–18) to join our friendly care home team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, build confidence, and develop practical skills in a supportive environment while making a real difference to our residents.

No experience needed?
We’ll provide full training and guidance, teaching you everything you need to know about food hygiene, kitchen safety, teamwork, and delivering excellent service.

Want to build your CV?
Working alongside our experienced kitchen team, you’ll learn transferable skills such as communication, time management, responsibility, and attention to detail – all while earning and gaining real-world experience.

Studying or looking for part-time work?
This role is ideal for young people who want to fit work around school, college, or other commitments while gaining experience in hospitality and care.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with serving meals and drinks to residents.

  • Helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and organised.

  • Washing crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.

  • Supporting the cook with simple food preparation and presentation.

  • Working as part of a friendly team to create a positive dining experience for our residents.
